A level set {f <= c} of a shape's value f along a ray.

Internal helper; not part of the public API. Specialised for the shapes whose level sets have a closed form: Convex (a sphere, capsule, infinite cylinder, plane or box: piece() gives the one convex piece), or a mesh (its surface grown or shrunk by its faces offset by |c|), or a fused affine map of one.
